Allihies again.. but off to Asia soon....
Well I installed the exhaust on wednesday straight swap for the original. Finaly got to ride with it today and here are my impressions.
Bike finaly sounds like a big twin should Lazer 1 BMW 0
Bike has slightly more vibes through the pegs Lazer 0 BMW 1
Bike at 90MPH makes no more noise for me than before Lazer1 BMW 0
Bike does not backfire anymore than before Lazer 1 BMW 1
Bike feels like it pulls a bit more freely Lazer 1 BMW 0
Bike looks better Lazer 1 BMW 0
For fuel consumption I'll have to wait and see, but for me its important as I can ride to work and back twice on one tank but its close.

Overall impression is that I like it with the Lazer but could quite happily live with the original. With no motor / Chip modifications it works fine and thats good for me...
Thanks to Franco for the bargain exhaust, tomorrow (hopefully) I'm going to an inox welder to get the two cracks welded up.

Richie dude I can tell you now you can kiss some £££ goodbye for extra juice. Love my "lazor" pipe and sounds the dogs danglies but lost about 30 miles per tank of fuel :(

Did not have it chipped either but suspect with the lovely sound you tend to be a bit heavier on the throttle. If your consumption does actually improve it would be great to know that my bike has another problem

Currently riding the std pipe again and some times wonder if the bike's switched on or not.

Indeed ! That among other factors is the reason why I sold mine, and am now ££££ in twice over.

Well done that man...

Surprised you had more vibes through the pegs though, can't say I noticed that one. I didn't notice a marked dip in fuel consumption either. Initially you give it the berries more often because it sounds so much better (especially on my old commute through the Blackwall and Limehouse tunnels..) I had to try very, very hard to get less than 200 miles to a tank. Average was about 210. Didn't seem to make that much difference whether I took it easy(ish) or thrapped around all over the place.

Happy riding Richie...and don't get too carried away with that noise..;)

I had the same problem as the can is hard mounted to the sub frame via the peg hanger. If you take a slice off a rubber door stop and use it as a wide washer between the can and hanger the vibes will be reduced.
