Latest Firefox update

Anyone else having problems with Firefox after the latest version update (3.5.2)?
I'm finding it really slow,sometimes the bookmarks are there - other times not(?)
It also often freezes when opening a link in a new tab,the only way out is to close it completely and start again.
I think I'll go back to version 3 if I can figure out how.

updated it today..... works fine so far,,, i didn't upgrade until all my addons would work

It's locked up a couple of times but eventually sorts itself out. It happened earlier as I was streaming the athletics from the beeb & surfed in other tabs during the boring bits.

It's still more relaible than IE which often fails to boot up or randomly locks up and nothing but killing it from the taskbar will get rid of it.

I have exactly the same problem ... it freezes ( esp on youtube stuff), very very slow to open pages ... and then it keeps on crashing !!

So relaoded it, hoping for success ... and it made bugger all differnce

I've tried to do what I can with it but have given up and moved to Safari, which is ....


(Home PC) - work I use an old version of FF and it is fine

Same for me. My office computer has the update and "hangs" when you try to open a second tab. It eventually sorts itself out but is a complete pain!!

My home computer, with the older FF version is fine.

Our office IT people are trying to find the solution and if they do i will let you know.

That would be very useful to know. I thought it was my computer going tits up ... but it isn't ( it only happens when FF is running)

The CPU usage when FF is in action seems huge - often 100%. This never happens on my work PC

I switched to FF because of the slowness of IE.
This latest version is so slow to launch the first time that I have now switched back to IE - I am a browser tart in that respect!

Definitely slower on start up....can't put my finger on it, but It's not like it was...........Had a quick 'revisit' to IE......

Will stick with it.......
