Agreed,there are some top engineers on hereThese bike threads by people who know their craft and have that passion... are the best on the forum....many thanks for taking time out to photo the stages and write about it.

Replacement starter shaft received and it looks great , I’ll get it re-assembled tomorrow and hopefully report back that I’ve got a fully working starter motor

I’m a perpetual bike changer as I get as much enjoyment out of bringing a bike back mechanically to as good or better than it was from the factory as I do riding them , so almost certainly it will end up for sale ;-)Will this bike be a keeper John, or will it become available to purchase ?
I am trying to pace myself as it was supposed to be a 3 month project but once I get going I find it difficult to stop LOLCan you slow down a bit please fella.
