The neutral light switch on my 96 1100 is slow to respond particularly when cold. It gets much better as the temperature rises I assume from the gearbox and exhaust. Is there anything relatively easy I can do to perk the little sod up so he behaves himself when cold? And if this is just a squirt of WD40 how do you get to it? It seems to be buried about as far into the bike as it could get.

cheers

It's a pesky little bugger to get to - basically a swingarm out job, although that only takes an hour and a half even first time round. It's the switch closest to the gearbox in this pic, piggybacked with the gear position indicator.
