I detect a little Freudian influence in your comment.
Ride the mid-range torque cross country, stay off the brakes, maintain high average with better corner speed and keep it below indicated 80 on the motorway and I'm sure you'll be seeing nearer 60mpg.
As a favour just for you I'll run it for a couple of hundred miles, just to check I'm correct.
