Mr and Mrs ChasMill and I stayed at this hotel for one night over Easter.
By my reckoning it’s a good place. Why?
1. It is laid out, not as one building but as a series of chalets, I’d guess you’d call them.
2. Well staffed, all of whom are friendly.
3. A good restaurant.

4. A walkable distance into the very popular town of St Valery sur Somme.

6. Lots of coastal walks (or hire a bicycle) along the coast / estuary of the Somme.
7. Plenty of parking space.

An hour and a half (direct) south of Calais.

PS I was talking to the Belgian owner of the ex-army Land Rover I was parked next to. It was circa 1990, left hand drive (it came from the British army in Germany) powered by a petrol V8 engine. He was with a party of 10 friends, all keen off-roaders. He was telling me that there is a very good off-road circuit nearby but you have to go with an official guide, as parts of it are very technical and / or full of little creeks, which can get dangerous when the tide changes.
