Leak from Oil Sight Glass

I have an oil weep from the bottom of the Oil Sight Glass. It's only just started and seems to be related to the coating of the block flaking away
Short of a new block does anyone have any experience of how to fix this?
Will Loctite or similar work?

Get a new sight glass and put it in...

+1 I think they harden and lose the seal it is a real 5 minute job..

get yourself a seal puller, they can be pretty tight to get out, but dead simple to put the new one in. Steptoe has a great photo tutorial on here.

I think he says drill a wee hole, screw in a self tapper and pull with visegrips, nein?

Steptoe did mine in 5 mins. I leaned the bike over so the oil level dropped below the bottom of the glass and he did his magic. Piece of piss, apparently

I think Steptoe uses the seal puller. I drilled the hole first and only managed to break out the glass in short order...YMMV

I leave all that bolloxs to the merkins - Crack the plastic, get the seal puller in and lever out.
