Hi All

I've just returned from a quick trip to Switzerland.......during which I managed to break the main zip to my leather jacket!!

The jacket has given great service for at least eight years as I can remember, and I'm reluctant to just buy a new one, and apart from the zip it's still in very good shape ( shame I couldn't say the same about me...who hasn't worn so well in those 8 years!! :o )

Anyway...if anyone knows of any specialist repair places in Norfolk, or even further afield, I would greatly appreciate any info.

...it could also do with a clean as well, so any information on that too would be a great help too.

Many Thanks,

Steve

Try Kate Jennings at Hideout Leathers on 01799 584828. They are excellent at all leather repairs, charge reasonably and might even do the repair by post!

Hideout has my vote:thumb2 Made my leathers in 1984:rob and in 2006, yes they are that good. Repaired my Twat suit when I melted the bottom of the trousers on the exhausts offroading with leather panels up the inside to the knee, repaired my tank bag with leather panels, as that also melted on the exhaust when topping up with fuel:mmmm

They are the nuts

or try "stitch & save" who - if you are in Norwich - will collect & drop off

07850 724558

ive used them on a couple of occasions - all good work:)

Thank you all

Thanks for the information :beerjug:

I'll get in touch with Hideout and see what they charge.

I did actually use 'Stick and Save' many years ago to repair a zip which had gone on an ex-girlfriends all-in-one suit....as I remember the work was very good, and very very good value....but to be honest I was a bit reluctant to let them loose on my Dainese jacket...although to be honest I do think they'd make a good job of them :o...but i was looking to get it repaired at a 'bike-based' company, that might be able to clean them afterwards too.

But thanks for all your help....cheers :beerjug:
