LED bulb

Having used Hid and then LED bulbs in GS`s my experience is that you get a lot of light scatter and tend to get motorists flashing in the daytime as well as night.
This is despite the fact that the bulbs were expensive and were claimed to be focused for the reflector.
I now have the Chinese LED headlight unit fitted for the past year and never been flashed once, the dip beam cut of is very good as the unit is designed for the light source.
The complete headlight is about the same price as the quality bulbs.
There are a number of threads on here regarding the headlight unit.

Thanks Chris
Have you got a link for the unit?
The blurb for the bulb says it’s fully adjustable for oncoming traffic but I’ll go with a complete unit if it a similar price.
I’m fed up with changing the bulb every 3/4 months.

Yes that looks like the one that I purchased.
AliExpress have a lot listed the prices vary between unit cost , shipping and tax , most of them end up around the same price.
You may need an adjuster available from slipperyeal on here, I would also advise a perspex headlight guard as the plastic lense on the unit does not look very thick.
Here is a link to a thread that was on this forum a while ago, but all the information you need.

Thanks again Chris, I’ll have a read of that.

Just make sure the Chinese light unit you order has the bottom fixture (hole for a rubber grommet) some do some don’t.

Also the fitting of LED bulbs to existing halogen light units all though now ok in an MOT perspective providing the beam doesn’t scatter could still land you in trouble with your insurance company in the event of an accident or causing another driver to have an accident due to being dazzled by you. Safest bet would be to fit the complete unit and notify insurance.
