No. As swapping the lights around / testing the suspected failed light is easy.
Putting it like that you are quite right but replacing the light was a first thought who would expect corrosion on a new bike, and to be fair that did work for a week the problem was the opposite end of the cable, So will make sure that's got plenty of Gt85 or similar in future.
The main thing for me is it is sorted (fingers crossed) yes in this case NOG made a mistake but we are all human and in fairness they are very pleasant to deal with so I forgive them.

Time to do the wiring yourself and show how easy it is to your clearly incompetent dealer. And no, you won't harm your warranty.
Its just a fekkin 12v light. How hard can it be?
We'll guess what the left hand light has packed in again, quite frustrating really, I assumed this would be a simple fix but apparently not.
Will call NOG again in the morning maybe 3rd time lucky

It is frustrating when as a lad you could buy a couple of lamps for your XR2 from Halfords, wire them up in ten minutes and look really cool !
Well I wonder if they have replaced sufficient wiring and connectors ?

These are £400 of LED greatness and look excellent but thank goodness there's a 2 year warranty on them. I might still be fixing them in ten years time when I change the bike as they were NEVER right :-(
Please keep us updated Terry

...the dealer said it was corrosion so cleaned the terminal and sprayed it with ACF50.
That's not a fix. Its a temporary repair. Doesn't address the root cause of the problem, which is water ingress. These guys are idjuts, fobbing you off and wasting your time.

Keep us up to date with the light over the next couple of weeks please?
Thanks
Well been back for the 3rd time and NOG have found a problem with the actual fog light there was a blob of solder or similar preventing the connector seating correctly near one of the terminals, this was obvioulsy allowing water ingress and causing corrosion, they checked the ones they had in stock and found others. I now have a good one fitted so hopefully now ok.

All good so far and I've washed it twice, well done to NOG definitely not an easy to spot issue, cheers to the eagle eyed Tech

Well it's been in and no faults can be found, was working again but has now stopped, NOG have raised a PUMA report to see if any others have been affected, and then hopefully what the fix is.Well the fix this time has lasted a month, but unfortunately I've had to book it back in as the L/H fog light has packed in again. I and NOG really thought it was sorted this time.
I've been caught out in huge downpours and of course washed it several times since the last fix but it seems water is getting in somewhere.
Bet I'm not the first to suffer it's the same light that is fitted across the range so I'm sure there must be others.

Yes Terry we both had this issue. Motorrad Central replaced the wiring.
It's ok at the moment (10 days later)
