An interesting one for LC owners, bimbling round at work the other day , midday with fairly bright sunlight and pulled up to a junction. Watching for vehicles and saw a couple approaching from the left so waited.
As the first two passed there was reasonable gap and when I looked again I just picked up something before the next cars.
Turns out it was a new grey LC, rider all in black running on LED sidelights, a combination of the shadows from trees the dark coloured bike and the led lights and it was near as dammit invisible against the following cars ( which were also newish running with led lights on)
First time I've come across this and as someone who is very bike aware it was worrying , normally led lights stand out like a sore thumb.
I thought it was just me but a colleague in a following van hadn't seen the bike either and wondered why I wasn't pulling out.

One of the first things I did was adjust the height of my headlight, as they are set too low at the factory.:rob:beerjug:

Not seen one with just the 'U bend' DRL.

But did catch up with one on the A1 last sunday that had the dipped light on.....maybe.....because as I ambled past waving i glanced back in my mirrors and feck me the light was bright, so possibly main beam.

I assume it can be programmed for dipped , all the time?

On the one I test rode, the led headlight was automatic.
So you only have the u bend on at daytime.
There is a little button that overrides it and turns the headlights on.
Which is what I did.

Having viewed several new 1200Gsessessses.. on my way back from a cultural assignation in Scarborough, I don't think the DRL shows up as well as a normal dipped headlight, certainly nowhere near as good as the DRLs on cars...

...and a well driven FIAT Panda will murder yez on the Moors Road....

The U shaped DRL's brightness is adjustable, turned mine up to flat out and its bright :thumb

I thought it was, not sure how exactly I seem to remember playing with the switchgear when I had a demo ride ;)

Think you may find that's the LCD brightness for the display and not the LED DRL.

Although that does dim when the dip beam comes on.
