What's the best led lights to work with my 1150gs for night driving that won't blind oncoming traffic and keep me alive.

I have Piaa driving lights bought from USA expensive but very well built units improve night time visibility by 200% and very good day marker lighting

I have three sets of extra lights on my 1150GS - a set of 7" HID spots (have no source for them) - a set of Rigid Industries Duallys floods wired into the main beam (see https://www.bikevis.com/product-category/motorcycle-auxiliary-lights/) which are very well made: together they really do turn night into day.

For spots running all the time with the dipped beam I have a set of Cree U5 LEDs (lots on eBay - like these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2pcs-125W...245217?hash=item5d69846e61:g:uJIAAOSw8gVX93J0) - for the price they are very good and much better than a lot of more expensive lights (including a set of PIAA lights I replaced them with). Just need to untwist the bulb and remove the U2 chip to stop them flashing - videos of this on Youtube. Bright enough that you need to be careful how you aim them!

Hope that helps.

If you don't want your GS looking like a 60's Mod Scooter, I would recommend a HID conversion to both lights, or at least to the dipped one.

A massive improvement over standard.

Hid ok, but reflectors are rubbish, but still better than standard. Re spots Denali, they are fab, with high and low beam. They have transformed night riding, I can now see what I am going to hit!

Thanks for the help lads by the way does les still do the hid . Can't seem to get him with the email

+ 1 for the Cree U5s, £15 for the pair so even if they just last one season it's no big deal :thumb2

I have the cree lights too alot of light for the money

Quick question if I may, how are you guys mounting your auxiliary lights?

My 2005 GSA doesn't have the high level fog lights but it does have crash bars though I wonder if they would be too low for mounting additional lights. My main is issue is riding with dipped beam on country roads btw.

Lights are only half the issue :augie . You need a pair of GMT mounts as well.

I had a set of those on my previous Adv.
Had them linked into full beam, but way way to bright for running lights to be honest. If you are handy with electrics, I understand you can get dimmer switches.

Great lights though and not mega expensive either iirc

Contact Les Wassall on here he does a variety of lighting options and mounts to fit them to.

Alternative is Rugged roads or Migsel sell light bars, bit the mounts above are super rare.

Ps if you want a cheap set of lights, I have a freebie set in the free section if you want to try out things out.

What lights are those? Do you find they help light unlit country roads without burning the retinas of oncoming drivers?

Can't remember make but bought them off this site. Yes they light up country roads & turn night into day. But sadly they are too bright to use with any motorist coming towards you. They work wonders getting car drivers to turn off fog lights (front) when there's no fog !
