Boards have arrived and I am back from holiday.
Wasn't able to trial the new board as it did not arrive in time, but the prototype is still going strong - 2984 miles and still not a problem - same for side lights.
I have ordered the components to make one up before I announce them a success and ready for sale.
The design is slightly different to the one in my first post as you can now easily add my side lights as fog lights without the additional diode.

Waiting for more parts but should finish later this week on the assembly.
Will fulfil requests posted here first so let me know if you are still interested
At the moment the cost for the tail light unit is £45 inc postage to club members. I will post payment details here when the first batch is ready.
For those that want side lights too, there is a 2 month delay on the white LEDs and the red ones use the same LEDs as the tail light so these shouldn't be a problem. I have come up with a better fixing method (strong foam adhesive pads) on the indicator inserts which I am happier with. Indicator inserts are £19.99 per pair.
I have already got the board for the 1150 indicators sketched out and now a mate has a 1200 I might do the idicators for them too - but don't hold your breath - let's get this one off the ground first

Hi jumper is on if you have IBS, off if you don't.
if you are not sure pull jumper off when ignition is on and if the warning light turns on, you have IBS.
if not leave it off (saves 5w)
Posted early on re. the 1150 Tail Light and still interested.
Got a 2002 with non-servo ABS. Will just require your guidance as to what to set the IBS jumper to

Good news:
For the four that have paid, I sent off the rear lights today. Thanks. Hopefully some good feedback coming...
Bad news:
I didn't quite realize how much time was involved in the assembly of the boards or the postage cost so for the posts prior to this message wanting one (I count eight) the price is still £45 each (but you must decide if you want Recorded Delivery + £0.72 or Special Delivery + £4.60 and add it to your payment).
Worse news:
For orders from now on the price will be £48 including Recorded Delivery. If you want Special Delivery, the price will be £51 (do you really want SD???).
Sorry about this, and I hope it doesn't put you off getting one. You are actually only paying for P&P which you would have to pay elsewhere. If I can get my components cheaper in the future, I will pass the saving on too.
If you are sure you don't have IBS, then that could save you £2.
I will be at Princetown this year again, so if you order one I can deliver it there for nothing

Indicator inserts are back in production, but only RED at the moment. WHITE LEDs are still out of stock. If you have asked for a RED set on this thread, then send me £19.99 and I will send them off ASAP.

LED Tail Lights for 1200 GS & 650 GS
Any chance of developing any for 1200 GS & 650 GS. If you need a guinea pig, I may be able to assist, since I work in Bath and live in Chepstow, neither of which is not too far from WSM. Let me know if you are interested.

I might start on the 1200 and 800 stuff if time allows, but the new 1200 has an LED tail already (split into 50-50 not dim/bright like mine). Might be cheaper to buy one from BMW...

The indicators are the same on both, so if I do make an insert with orange and red LEDs (which is next for the 11xx) then it will do both.
Shame I am not retired.

Fitted the LED unit yesterday morning, quite easy even for me. 
It's very nicely made and fits really neatly into the talilight.
