Ive got a Honda (sorry) but my wife has a 650 gs, We love the bike but two up its abit of a squeeze on the saddle.Im looking at a bigger version
So can anyone please tell me the length of the 1150 gs seat (year 1999 ish) From where the crown jewels sit to the start of the back box. The reason I say back box is the wife likes to have something to lean on and at least I know she wont fall off the back.
I'm looking at the 1150 because the 12 is too electrified
I would take a test ride but dealers don't have many 1150's in stock any more
and they all want you to do is buy a 12
Luv'in the ban'ta and pizz taking so keep it going....Tosh

It Depends On...

...How Big Your Wife Is! :augie

But seriously:You should both fit comfortabley on any R1100GS or R1150GS with a dual seat set-up unless you're both massive, whereupon you'll need to upgrade the rear shock. :rob :D

By the way, you're right about your choice: 1150's are best. :thumb

The 1150GS has 2 separate seats. None of this sliding about nonsense.

The capacity is immense. I'm pretty sure that I've seen more than one couple on an R-GS with a combined weight of 35 stone or more.

Cheers wessie, I love my food

FWIW, I found my 1150 roomier 2-up than a 1200 we test rode. Very spacious for two. That's the standard bike with the 2-part seat, I suspect the adventure 1-piece is a bit more cramped.
