No Steve, nothing has changed. At past midnight on a Saturday night, the most productive thing you can find to do is continue to flog a horse that has been dead so long it's disappeared. I know you think it's the rest of the world, not you, that is wrong. I just happen to think that - just maybe - you've lost the plot entirely & need medical help with your obsessional behaviour.
I am not sure that medical help would do any good. Conventional wisdom centres around cognitive -behavioural therapy (sort of getting the patient to talk about and rationally analyse their thoughts and behaviour and try and understand how this might be perceived by others) - Something that has been ongoing on this board for over a year. Or is it two. And yet the patient is not improving.
There are some outspoken advocates of ignoring the patients obsessive - compulsive thoughts and behaviours and just engaging with them when they are not within that obsessional - compulsive pattern........
i.e. ignore him when he is whinging about BMW etc, and only acknowledge his existance when he is talking about somat else
Well said David. If you look back, I think all I said originally was that I felt sorry for Mike. He then deemed it necessary to compare his case with mine and we started to slide down a slippery slope with every other Tom Dick and Harry having a pop. I'm not looking to lock horns with anybody on here. I do agree with you though that if those that were bored with my story now just ignored it, that would allow me to speak rationally with any new people that hadn't. The best solution all round if you ask me.
What aspect do you have a problem with Mike? Are you saying that my fundimental aregument is flawed and that bmw did everything I could have expected them to?
