Bit dubious when Lancaster Gate Assistance is shown according to Companies House shown as a renting and leasing company for car and light vehicles , no doubt it helps in ramping up any claims that come their waySays they use a claims handler, Lancaster Gate Assistance.
This would put me off after my recent experience of claims handlers, though I know nothing of Lancaster Gate Assistance.
It is the same as another infamous claims handling company that seem to ramp up every claim and takes a minimum of 12 weeks to do simple repairs whilst ramping up claims with storage and loan bikes . Same company that runs a breaking side of their operation and prides the fact that they use secondhand parts for repairs , no doubt when they need bits for two or three bikes they will write off a similar bike in their system as being unrepairableBit dubious when Lancaster Gate Assistance is shown according to Companies House shown as a renting and leasing company for car and light vehicles , no doubt it helps in ramping up any claims that come their way
Absolute ball ache to get through to them. Came up as the best quote on the comparisons. Just amended my policy from 1250 GSA to 1300 GSA. 35 minutes to get through to them, girl who eventually answered was a dream to deal with, excellent. Told her in concluding she was great but the waiting times are appalling, said I'd like to officialy complain, she filed a complaint and yesterday I had acknowledgement they are offering me £50 for the hassle. All in all they meet the legal requirements of having insurance and that's how I viewed it.Saw this company mentioned on here, just got a quote for a new. 1300 GS TE which was very reasonable any advice or comments please
Thanks for all the comments it would appear they have a very low customer rating an could not find a Trustpilot review not taking a risk the a new BiksVery expensive excess. Possibly will require you to use a disk lock. Long waiting times (although they will do a call back).
As I understand it, you're not obliged to use your insurer's claims management company in the event of an accident. (Check this though.)
Not my experience with Hastings, I asked repeatedly for them to handle my no fault claim of my behalf, to leave my bike at the BMW dealer to be assessed and repaired. They wouldn’t even put the claim to the third party’s insurance,As I understand it, you're not obliged to use your insurer's claims management company in the event of an accident. But wouldn't you then get a solicitors bill, which you may or may not be able to claim back depending on how clear cut the no fault claim was??.I think if I had a not at fault accident, the first people I'd call would be a specialist motorcycle solicitors. They would be the only party duty bound to put my interests first. To everyone else you're just a commodity.
I think you make a good case for a camera. But wouldn't you then get a solicitors bill, which you may or may not be able to claim back depending on how clear cut the no fault claim was??.
