LHD Headlight

Anybody out there got a "LHD" headlight they want to swap for a "RHD". Or one for sale? Have a UK bike I need to register in France and BMW list price is more than I'd like to spend!

You sure the headlight is 'handed'. Lot of modern bikes just dip straight up and down.

That's a very good point AA. But am pretty sure my local dealer told me it needed changing. Will double check though before parting with any cash! Thx, P

Got lamped!

I just Imported my bike from the USA, long story short I bought a UK spec lamp but then found out I don't need it.

The US headlight casts a flat beam with on kick-up no either side ---.
The UK spec kicks up to the left << .
The EU spec kicks up to the right >> .
When importing a bike to the UK the only thing the headlamp must not do is kick-up to the right causing dazzle to oncoming traffic.
Easy way to check park in front of a door/wall and turn on your Dipped beam only. look at the shape of the beam if its a rectangle then its American, if there is a kick up on one side, refer to spec above.

So I'm out £140.00 with both a UK and US spec F800/650GS headlight in my possession. Ain't I lucky.
Anybody exporting to the US anytime soon???
