An example of cost. For the rider seat on a 1150GS to insert gel would be £145. They take your old cover off, insert their own specific gel and recover using original cover. Takes approx 1-1.5hrs so pop along to The Plough Inn a few yards away while waiting (where we meet on the last Thursday in the month).

Has anybody used LICS to gel their seat before?

I am going to go for it as could not get on with an Airhawk but after feedback beforehand. Have heard from a couple of other people is that LICS do an excellant job if a little pricey, but worth it.

had mine done recently and definately a vast improvement for me , would recommend them highly..the seat is very comfortable now :thumb2

Got my seat done today and will be putting it to a test 12th June as will be riding to Sammy Miller museum (New Milton Hampshire) from Kent and back.

And yes I did ask about discount for us ... he is thinking about this but don't wait as it could be a while. Will set up a discount posting should he let me know.

sounds good but tony archer will do both seats for under that,
not that fast though

Correction to previous price - it was £140.

FYI, they just don't put a gel insert in, they put down a base layer of foam, then gel and then a layer of memory foam. It all wraps around the seat and is not just inserted on top.
Takes them about 1-1.5hrs and if you wait then they can tailor it somewhat to your requirements.
