After my previous post about fitting LED running lights alongside my existing old HID extra lamp and the abortive attempts in making a light bar bracket from angle and flat bar I bit the bullet and paid for a Migsel Light Bar - there was a bit of a delay as they were out of production but the factory kept me well informed and last week it arrived after about 14 days . I have no connection with this Belgium supplier but was very impressed with the quality of the finished item which is made from stainless steel and laser cut and folded with a bead blasted (matt) finish.

Installation was easy after I had removed the homemade elbow bracket for my old HID Light and re fixed the GS Beak with some thread lock. Two new stainless Hex bolts are provided and I packed these out with a 2mm washer on the upper edge and a small spring loaded washer on the bottom and again a light smear of thread lock to stop it all shaking loose.

I decided to refit my HID on the underside LHS and had to adjust the drainage tubes which I fabricated out of some 2mm black pipe I had spare and then fixed the new running lights on both side above the HID.

The remaining wiring loom I tucked into the under seat space and I have some final heat shrinking of the loom to do next weekend but I was very impressed with the product and the final finish.

Not much

No they don't stick out much at all - certainly narrower than the bars and well inside the tank and a bit inside the engine protector bars on the ADV - worth paying for the product I think seeing as my fabrication skills are "amateur" at best...
