Light bulb for my 850GS

Noticed last night on my way back from work that my light bulb has gone (not the full beam though). Could anyone recommend any specific light bulb or shall i just go to my car part shop and get one, thanks.

IIRC the 850GS uses a regular H4 bulb - available from any motorist shop.

Assuming you have a standard headlamp , any old H4 will do. I have never gone for the fancy expensive ones although I have one that gives quite a strong yellow beam which I like - it stands out from all the white ones out there .

Tried a few of the "whiter" light ones. All have failed well before the standard ones. Not wasting my money again on them.

I have had a Philips XTreme Power H4 lamp in my R1150 for tha last 25,000 miles. A huge improvement over the standard bulb, worth every penny.
