Did a search to no avail.

02 1150GS - Headlights and fog lights stay after turning off the bike. Rear lights do not stay on.

This is not related to the position of the key in the ignition - I have tried all the positions and it is not that i am turning the key too far to the left.

I've checked all the fuses etc and everything seems OK.

Is there another headlight relay I should check?

Any other suggestions?

Right now only way to turn off the lights is to disconnect the battery. When the bike is running all the lights and indicators work.

Sounds like a stuck relay, possibly the one feeding your accessories or additional lights.

Hmm - it turns out I had a new, spare relay in my spare parts collection. I tried swapping out all the relays in the fuse box, but no luck...

What's next?

If it's the pilot light you've possibly turned the key too far, thus leaving on the pilot light.

Are the fogs bmw or a diy job? the only relay in the fuse box related to lighting is the load relief relay. You need to trace the wiring back from the headlight and fogs back to a relay as the most likely culprit.

I had very similar thing on my K1200RS - headlight stayed on all the time but rear light would not work at all and I had to run a wire direct to it from the battery to get home. Traced it to trapped wires leading from the ignition switch which had melted the insulation so were chafing against each other - cut the wires out and soldered in longer sections and all was fine!

Ya just beat me to it! Headstock wiring has to be a potential culprit - can't see how a stuck relay could bring on the foglights and the headlight.

Tries to do this and failed. The DIY fog lamps run into the cluster under the fuse box and i can't figure out how to get in there - maye from the bottom?

Looks like I'll have to take it in ...
