Since HID are now illegal, I’d go LED… Mine was MOT’d yesterday with LED bulbs and passed with no issues.

Who said HID are illegal? I’ve a KTM 1190 and a 690 with HID’s fitted that have both recently passed an MOT.

Yip mine just passed it MOT last week with HID fitted. Apparently they have rescinded their previous decision and now allowed them.

Gents, you’re quite right. The regs were changed on 22nd March this year… Humble apologies.

I’d still go with LEDs though as they’re a much simpler and more compact solution. I seldom go out at night these days, though…
