Try this site - £20 - packs down to a long thin(ish) bag which could be strapped to the bike. The lads who used these at Le Mans swear by them.

That's the kind of thing I'm looking for. Need to see / weigh one though :nenau

Thanks to everyone (except Alan ;) ) for the advice. I have one of the Aldi Thermarest jobbies but it didn't feel too comfy in the back garden last night :eek Must be getting old :D

Probably needs you to blow a couple of big puffs in it :thumb

Get an Exped 9 Downmat. they inflate to 9cm, are filled with Goosedown, very comfortable and very good insulators. They don't self inflate - you use the stuff sac it comes with as a pump. Most places do them for between £90 and £110 but the climbers shop in Ambleside still seems to have them reduced to £60 and free shipping....

I do Thermarest and camp bed. Former very good (I use a thick 3/4 for warmth and comfort, putting my below the knees on somthing else - good compromise for me), and very compact and light, but really not a patch on the latter for sheer comfort. Depends how many nights you are spending on it, and how much space and weight is a priority really.

 So Mutley would blow two big puffs in his bed would he?

That's it I'm going to stop making suggestions, you can't say anything on this site without getting into trouble. :D :D :D :D :D :clap :clap

Nice avatar BTBR. :bounce1 :bounce1

Nice one :thumb

I tried one at the Hograost at the weekend and decided to get one from Les at Travel Dri, but forgot.

Just as well really seeing these are cheaper and post free :D
