Hi Chaps,

I have adjusted the screen on my GSA, upwards, to reduce noise/buffetting but now find my line of vision is "Through" the screen as opposed to "Over".

Is this correct and how most of you ride?:nenau

Your feedback much appreciated, since I am still fairly new to the big trail experience having had sports bikes where you have to look over the small screen or naked bikes where you have no choice:cool:

I don't like looking through, so I look over. Some people don't seem to mind looking through....

Wow you must be really short :augie
I have my screen in the most vertical setting, have a wunderlich spoiler set as high as possible and I still look over the top

Have you actualy ridden your bike since adjusting the screen? It's easy to sit on a driveway and think it completely ruins your vision, but once you're actually out there and moving, you'll just look through it and not notice it. :nenau

My height leaves me looking through the top edge of the screen if I move it too much, which is obv no good as it's all distorted. I ride with it in the most upright position looking over it.

He's right, of course :thumb2

Though the cushion still has a certain charm to it.

look over gsa tinted screen with seat on low - I'm 5 ' 10''. Really feel as if I'm losing significant detail in view if I have to look thru the screen and would rather put up with noise. Good earplugs have made a massive difference to my riding enjoyment even if it takes a bit of getting used to.

Hi All,

Many thanks for all your replies, which help alot:thumb

Just to clarify, I am about 5' 9" but have fitted a low seat to the GSA to give me reasonable footing when fully loaded (luggage, camping gear etc).
Now I have moded the screen to allow it to adjust higher and hence the problem of looking through the screen, not over it:blast

I think I will adjust the screen to the highest setting but still allowing me to see over it and hopefully avoid most of the wind/buffeting.

Cheers:beerjug:

Out of interest how have you modded the screen?

I find it is only an issue when going over the brow of a steep hill. On a GS with a GSA screen.

oh do keep up,he has cut the lugs off the adjusters so it will go one more click upright,as in his earlier post, you do read all posts dont you:D

I've read all posts in this thread, can't see that explanation earlier. I assume you mean a previous thread? ;) No I don't read all threads :P

P.S. I don't know if you've read the other thread where I thanked you for the recommendation of the book. It's excellent :thumb2

It's in the thread where he also asked the old favourite: Where shall I discretely stick my tax disk? ;)

he did explain in this thread, but anyway glad the book is useful,to get anywhere in anything you must understand the basics really well.
