Looking at a new GS, list price of 15k.

What's a good deal do you reckon? Discount % on accessories?

I got 19% off list when I bought my BMW car, I don't imagine that's been possible on bikes has it?!

I know I can ring the dealers but I don't want to waste my and their time without getting an idea of where the deal should be. Thankyou...

It depends on the spec of your bike... Buy a base model with no extras and I don't think you'll get more than perhaps 1%.

On a TB with every option , I recall I had free varios, free nav, free £40 sweatshirt and free 1st service ( inc fluids) .

You can certainly get more , but you have to be very patient and keep walking away !
Not easy when you actually want to get your hands on a new bike!

The thing to remember is the proverb; "a fool and his money are soon parted"

Because of Euro 4 Emissions coming in dealers are finding less stock available to them , appears that BMW have been altering production numbers to prevent exactly this happening

Wait a few months and get a pre reg as they have to dump the 2016 stock because of new regs.

My purchase was in Nov 15, when its a tad "icy on the roads" and showroom footfall is low....
But ;
I'm 100% you can get that ...just approach a few dealers.

I brought secondhand last September bike was 11 months old came with a top box already, got a free nav and free panniers bike was just under 13k

talking of saving on list price, I noticed this bike which is only a few weeks old and less than 200 miles on it. Can't quite understand how you could buy a bike and decide it's not for you within such a short ownership and use. It's a a couple of hours of riding if that.

You'd be surprised. These dickheads walk amongst us. One buffoon bought a brand new Iconic GSA, at a huge premium, obviously never test ridden one, then sold it at a huge loss after 700 miles! Crackers!:D

I must be one of these i sold my XR after a weekend and 170 miles, No1 multistrada DVT less then 200 miles, No2 multistrada DVT with 40 miles on the clock. However I was £900 up on the XR, £500 on No1 multi and £800 loss on No2 multi.

I bought my GSA TE in June from BMW Norwich. I had rang up BMW in Manchester to enquire and asked them what they could do me a GSA TE for. Over the phone they knocked £1000 off. I took this to Norich and told them. TBH they were honest and said they didn't want to give me that much off a new bike and asked me how much I would accept off to stop me travelling to Manchester to get one. We agreed on £900 but then after that I also got gear shift assist and keyless for £250. So in total I saved around £1300 off the list price. I did buy the BMW panniers aswell which may have made the difference but they told me there weas room for negotiation from the very start.
There's always room for movement, if not ring somewhere else get a price off them and take it back to your local dealer.

Yeah but it did look pretty!

Well if the first punter had kept his promise I would have been on the up, instead he messed me around however your paint job was the icing on the cake not only did it sell the bike it also put value on It .

I thought the GS was already Euro 4 compliant?

No idea re emissions but I thought Euro 4 also meant inclusion of a standard OBD2 port, anyhow my info came from when I was at a dealers a couple of weeks ago and overheard the manager of the branch talking to the manager of another BMW dealership bemoaning the lack of available new stock. BMW (UK/Germany ) want to prevent a glut of pre registered 2016 model bikes being discounted so they appearently produced less 2016 spec models .
