Litre/100km to MPG converted ?

It was a 20ltr tank, but with the mod you could get in slightly over 22ltr.

Here are the instructions I did to mod the tank.

Yes, I always as a habit zero my trip meter. And try recall just what percentage of hooligan style riding I may have done on that particular tank.

19litres sounds OK, I am sure BMW have a number somewhere.

I have done the tank mod and get 22litres. Also getting 16.5k to litres.

I used to live in King..... 1974-6.

Also used to drive through there every month from PE to Umtata and East London to work.

Today was 26'C here..... hot and unpleasant.
Simply put, I am one of the few people who moved from Natal after school to Port Elizabeth to get a better temperature average.

Personally prefer PE winters.

Do you connect up with the Eastern Province BMW Club guys at all ??

Thanks guys, I had done 60.5 miles and used 6.5 litres.

60 miles = 100km (or there abouts ) so easy.

However, getting litres to gallons is my thing.

Basically my brother and I always do this competitive thing of trying to squeeze max miles out of the odd tank.

Generally I do not ride ecconomically, cant be arrsed and not much fun.

I decided to be sad enough and managed 50.87mpg, 244.5 miles from a standard '06 GS tank!!!
Very satisfying but very very boring

Hi Grizz, Nice to hear from you.
Have had one ride with the guys, but wife and I enjoy riding on our own. We like to stop and look/see. Weather here has been great for riding. Keep well.
