Little Problem......I think!

I have a Garmin 2610 GPS. It seems to be working fine with mapsource. I can download maps routes waypoints and tracks and I can upload maps waypoints and tracks from the unit. However, if I try to upload routes from the unit it appears to be going through the motions but as the progress bar hits 100% it gives the following error message. Seems a bit odd and the error occurs both in win98 on my laptop and win2000 on my desktop.

Any Ideas out there?

I can't really help, but the same think seesm to happen to be sometimes. I repeat it and it seems to go away

Had the same problem when upgrading to version 7.0. The problem arises when version 6.x routes are stored on your unit and you try to upload to version 7.0 on the PC. What you need to do is delete all version 6.x routes from your unit then Bob's your uncle. (Press the Find button, select Waypoints, then the menu button again to reveal the 'Delete All Waypoints' button.
