Little project for 2010

Spent a few hours this morning sorting out the rear end (oooohh matron :blast), fitted rear brake shoes (picked up 3 sets from Jake at South Coast Boxers, genuine BMW ones following a conversation with Mr Farmer, luckily different versions as the rear diff came from an earlier model) and a stainless steel brake rod and fittings from Chris Shaw Engineering.

Fabricated brackets for the megaphone exhausts and fitted the linkages for the Raask rearsets, the gear lever was pretty straight forward but the rear brake lever was a pain in the arse as it required removing the original bush from the bikes original rear brake lever mounting point which took the best part of an hour and involved cutting out a section to let me remove it. :(

Once removed it was plain sailing and the Rassk kit even operates the existing rear brake switch without any modifications.

Rear end sorted, due to collect the front brake lines on Tuesday so will be flushing tank during the week, fitting fuel taps and in line filters wnd hopefully firing her up next weekend. :bounce1
 
In the garage something lurked.............

Finally got the tank flushed, fuel taps fitted, freshly cleaned carbs installed, stainless steel top yolk fitted, battery connected and pushed the starter button.

Carbs unbalanced and on base settings it fired up straight away. :bounce1

Will set and balance the carbs this week, do some wiring and book an MOT, hope the weather holds. :D

Started fitting indicators today and setting the carbs up, not finished that as yet still need to finish the balancing but ts getting there. :rob :bounce1
