Llangollen 23rd December 2007

Eddie,

Looking to get out this weekend so count me in. :thumb2

Keep me posted.

Cheers, Rick

Oops!

Sorry for the confusion Eddie, Gareth had his mitts on my pc! :blast

Don't think G will be out for a while yet!

See you Sunday.

Rick

I thought Gareth had made a quick recovery then until I noticed the Sig.
Looks like its going to be smoky on Sunday:cool:
How is he/are you?:confused::D

Eddie,

I'm fine, Gareth is probably sulking after Liverpool got stuffed last night 2:0 :thumb

Apart from that he is getting around ok now on his sticks - I'm trying to get him to have a go at the Red Kite again next year so all should work out allright.

Where are we meeting Sunday? Usual lane up off the A5?

Cheers, Rick.

That's the one or if you are parking in Chirk we could meet there.
Looking to start off at 9 as the days are short. Petrol at 60-70 miles.

Meet

Eddie,

See you at the car park in Chirk.

I will be ready for off by 9.

Mark - hope you can make it!

Cheers, Rick.

Car Park

See you there Rick and Mark if you can make it

Eddie,

Just for info on numbers, Jim will be with us as well on Sunday.

(You met him when Gareth crocked his leg)

Looking forward to a good day out.

Cheers, Rick.

We better make sure that we include the Wayfarer then;)

No problem with numbers if anyone else fancies it.

Although rain is forecast on Saturday, Sunday is expected to be dry and warmer than of late (I don't trust the forecast though)

Grand Day Out!

A big thanks to Eddie for taking Jim and myself on a cracking run on the lanes around Llangollen and further south.

A cold and frosty day with loads of frozen lanes and roads qualifies me for Ice Racing I think! No tumbles suprisingly just great lanes.

Timpo would be proud of the pace Eddie kept up and I think we were not far from Welshpool at one point! The offer of Alti Badi (the Proper Way Up!) as our last lane in the fading light was wisely declined.

A grand day indeed.

Merry Christmas to you all out there and I hope to see a load of the off-roading tossers next weekend.

Cheers, Rick.

Thanks Rick, I really enjoyed it.
2 positives for me were I didn't fall off and the bike ran OK.
This is the only picture that I took which is of the chunks of ice after a 4x4 had been through some deep ruts.

I hope never to see the video that Jim took of me coming down those icy rock steps like a big girl:o
Merry Christmas to you all and see you next weekend if I make through the Saturday:thumb

Some great lanes around Llangollen,
the above two i've done a few times... but always great fun when it's cold out that way,
well done lads

Mmmm rock steps in the ice:eek:glad I didn't come:P

It's been raining all day and become milder, let's hope next weekend is perfect conditions:)

I had been hoping that there wouldn't be any rain until the New Year.
F** it take it as it comes.
Starting to look forward to it again, now that I'm not so sore:thumb

Nice one, I'm glad that he didn't post the really embarrassing bits.:D
I have to laugh at getting stuck in that bike rut.
Thanks Rick for posting that and Jim that's a great clip, what a soundtrack:thumb2
