I have got my next one up trip planned for the start of May for a week (France). I have vario panniers but only ever use them when touring two up. If one up its a tank bag and a tail pack in place of the pillion seat.
I would like to try a vario top box in place of the tail pack ( easy to get the wets out !) but may never use it again if I buy one.

If anyone wants to lend me one they could use my panniers and mounts anytime they want if I am not away with the missers.

South east based, but I travel the M40/M6 corridor with work.

My bike is an 04 GS12.

Anyone ?

Thanks.

Please.....

I would be very grateful if.....

Would anyone mind if....

Is there anyone who'd like a reciprocal arrangement where....

Thank you very much.....

Seriously mate if you show a bit of gratitude and humility people may be more inclined to say "yes"

Sorry if I came across offhand, not intentional.

If anyone needs the panniers, just ask.

I'm kind to animals, and always buy the big issue :augie

Do you have the base plate and support bars already installed? Or are you after the complete setup?

Thanks for the response, maybe I did not piss off 100% of GSers :blast

I'm afraid I would need the full setup. What are the support bars ? When I enquired about buying the kit at the local BM shop they only mentioned a base plate. I have googled images to try and see what the box looks like on the rear seat area, but nothing helpful came up. It may be that it is really bulky, and as I try to travel lightly the size may be over the top.

Thanks again.

The support bars are the bars that support the top box plate, on which the top box sits. Go and look at any run of the mill GS in a parking bay or at your dealer's.

You could of course try investing £12 as the mounts and boxes come up for sale quite often / try ebay.

Better still, strap your bag on the back. That will remove the need of wanting to try anything.
