My Rukka jacket 'Waterproof' front zip now opens from the bottom when zipped closed.

Any recommendations or ideas where I can take it locally (Co. Down/Belfast) to get the zip repaired or replaced.

Don't know if just it needs the zip slider thingy or a full zip.

It's out of warranty by the way.

Thanks in advance

I had the same problem with my Rukka but replaced the Zip Slider with one bought on eBay and the zip has been OK since.

Thanks for the tip John-g, and went with your idea.

Slider arrived yesterday, a bit of a faff to fit, but when I did get it on it works perfectly, so for £2.99 delivered, cant be bad.

Thanks again.

Time will tell, to see how durable it is in the real world.

Pleased it worked for you, the only problem that I had was fitting the new Stop clip to the top of the Zip itself, but haven't had any problems since and I changed mine over a year ago, so has covered about 9,000 miles since then without the Zip pulling apart.
.
The place that I bought mine on eBay sent two Sliders and spare Clips but think I paid about £4.99 or something. Better than getting the Zip replaced and the chance that afterwards the Zip might leak where re-sewn in place.

For anybody else that reads this, I forgot to mention before, but you need to check the Slider size code on its back of it before ordering.

Post it to Hideout Leathers in Essex. They've done a cracking job replacing both calf zips on my Richa trousers and are strongly recommended on the forum. They charged £55 per zip.
