Glen Shee ski slope cafe today. Heading south after a good run clockwise up through Glen Coe, Fort Bill, Laggan, Tomintoul and heading south again. Around 5pm stopped for a coffee at the ski slope cafe. First stop - the "restroom". Then WTF???

I'm locked in the vestibule and everyone's gone home. I wave to a walker outside, but he can't find any employees around. I phone cops 101. Press option 4 to talk to a real person. Help! Eventually a guy with the door key shows up. "No me" says he. Over an hour. Can't believe I managed not to smack him.

Me inside - bike outside.

At last - I'm outside again.

Sign clearly says OPEN 24 hours a day. They lie!

Roads were nice and quiet heading home though.

ps - can anyone get Photo Bucket to work properly on iPad?

I haven't been up there since last year. The waitress had a stinking cold, I remember. More to the point, how are you liking the RS?

Did you sing that old school ditty:

" Oh dear, what can the matter be...
Johnny's stuck in the lava'try .......
........."

Al😂

Well as they say in Glasgow, I'd just have panned the windaes in, don't see any need for a key with them doors, one good boot and I'd have been oot......

The pleasant chap in the Police Scotland office who called me back twice to give me an update on the ETA of the key holder did ask me nicely "not to break the door down" when I told him I wasn't waiting much longer. After diving through a window in the ladies' loo into a wee store room, I found another locked door, so back I came to my vestibule. There was a Cadbury's vending machine and I had enough loose change for choccy bar. Though I was carrying a Bounty bar that was to be enjoyed with a cup of coffee.

My plan B was to pan the internal door into the café and stroll out the fire exit that I could see across the room.

Anyway - and more importantly - the RS12 is doing very well. 2,222 miles in 3 weeks. A 340 mile loop yesterday - clockwise. Last Friday I rode clockwise almost 400 miles more or less the same loop from home to Tomintoul - Laggan - Fort William - Tyndrum.
I cant get enough of these roads on a quiet day.

Immediately added a hugger, fender extender and crud catcher. I've recently fitted a taller screen and the tallest of the 4 RS seats, so I find it as comfortable as any bike. I can go all day with hot grips, cruise control and an up/down quick shifter. I just need to make a couple of wee extension brackets to bring the GPS up a few inches for better visibility. It's too low on the standard bracket. A neat fit, but too low.

After getting my first speeding ticket a year ago, I am really curtailing those fast blasts on the many long straights we have around here. Last week on the long 1/2 mile run north into Tomintoul I luckily spotted a far off white car parked up facing me. Sure enough, unmarked plod. In the past I might have run straight toward them at warp speed. On the same day on the road east to Lagggan I suddenly found flashing blue lights in my mirror. Oh shit - I didn't think I'd been going very fast. On the twisty road I had to keep going for a bit to find a short straight and breathed a big sigh as they waved on the way past to a crash a bit further on (some Dutch tourist spoiled his day)

Tempted by the RS. Must resist.... although if Motorrad Central were to offer me a test ride on one when my GS is in for a service and MOT on Saturday who knows.

So......you're a Mummy's boy who won't take the initiative, even if justified and reasonable force is required.

You are compliant with Plod, willing (this is a positive) to explore your options in a creative way but don't have the balls to follow through.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to let loose and get EXTREME, as in to really slurp that milkshake from the bottom of that mug, or to actually lift a cheek and be proud and loud?

No, didn't think so :comfort

Oh my.
