Why are they called locking Oil caps ?

Why do people bother fitting them ??

I've never had to use a "key" on any of the bikes i get in with them fitted.
Just press down and twist - They all come undone as easy as the original cap.

flip side of that coin is i spent £15.00 on a TT thinking it was a good thing.if you had told me ealier about undoing them being so easy i would of not bought one.so because your the moderater for these things i feel a goodwill jesture of £10.00 from you would be fare dont you[no spose you dont].

I did buy one and you get a sort of key arrangement with it, which if you use it pulls the whole assembly out. AAARGFHH ,make me angry just thinking about it. Also they have a sort of rubber cover well that got pulled off first time I fitted it AAAARRGGHHHH!

It's one of my prized exhibits in my BM museum along with standard seat and rear footpegs.

Really don't see the point - don't think anyone's ever tried to nick used engine oil from me... You'd need a hell of a long straw too.

I got one with the allen key. It was cheaper then the locking one and it looks nicer. It also adds 8mph to the top speed, it accelerates better and the handling has improved.

My first standard BM oil cap was nicked by some scrote..probably for the fun of it. I have replaced it with one of the said allen key items and as the yoof of today appear to only have a single brain cell, they have yet to solve the puzzle.

It's still a little bit poo really ..........

However it does look nice and make the bike handle better
