I have been in the habit of browsing this site on my mate's PC when I'm round at his place.

To do this I logged in on his PC.

I've now convinced him to register but his PC thinks he's me all the time.

He's using Firefox.

How do we get his PC to allow him to log in on his own account? The log out just defaults back to my profile. :nenau

He needs to delete all his cookies, or if he can just the UKGSer one that relates to your login :thumb

Mike..all you have to do is change your password, then log out and in again.......next time he logs in, the information will be different and he'll be asked to log in but obviously won't be able to as the Cookie with the correct info is on YOUR pc.

Thanks guys!

Using the google-talk miracle I was able to talk my mate through it and he's all spammed up now :thumb

He should be along in the Newbies Forum to introduce himself before long!

Since doing the above and changing my password, this site kicks me out mid-post if I take more than a few seconds to post.

Or if I'm open another browser window to open Smugmug etc.

It even does it mid PM if I take too long to compose the message!

I don't understand!

I can still go to other forums and I stay logged in there but here, sometimes after a few minutes I find I'm logged out.

I've cleared cookies etc. Sometimes it does kick me out but sometimes after re-booting I'm still logged in!

(It's doing my head in and hence the quotes after a short sentence).

Mike, there's a 900 second (15 minute) time out that I have set here, i.e. if you remain inactive for 900 seconds it will log you out.

If it's a smaller time interval that you are talking about then you have something your end blocking cookies...

You've probably got one of those PCs with a built in motion sensor - have you tried replying to a post while standing up and kind of bobbing your upper body about - or try typing one handed while moving the other in a sort of windmill effect :D
