Hi All,

Has anybody fitted Lone Rider 6L Mini Bags to the crash bars of their 1200 GSA. Quick search here and of course YT gave me no results. Assumption being the mother of all F ups, I think they would fit, but a part of me thinks they wont and that the auxillary light might get covered or be in the way.? IDK. They are a bit pricey so thought I would check if anyone done it here. I know they can be fitted in more places and to other luggage etc but I would like them for this use.

I also know that there are much cheaper options out there on Ali etc so also open to other tips and ideas :)

Thanks.

I fitted Lomo crash bar bags to my 2018 GSA, but they weren't a great fit, they would have fitted well on a 1250.

That said the Lone Rider bags have a proper Molle system on the back that might give a lot more options.

I had a friend who also had the Lomo bags and agree, they did not look so good or fit well.

The LR min bags look like they will fit but the aux light looks like it’s going to be covered.

Who was the tosser who had bags made up and sold on here? I seem to remember buying liner bags for my gsa and also some bags that I have on the crash bars. Made to measure and great product.

Anyone remember?

Might have been a saffa?

Well I received the bag and for sure they WILL NOT fit without covering the light. The bags won’t go to waste as can fit to other LR gear but their support said yes they will fit. Well they never lied I guess.

PM Hatcho he has bags he got from Ali Express that fit the crash bars. He does love his handbags

Fitted Lomo bags to my 1250 for our trip. Normally live on my Himalayan. Have to get creative with the straps but a few attempts and got something workable.
What does tend to be an issue is the mounting straps also pull the bag tight around its contents. If you want more or less in them you need to adjust or if empty they feel loose.

Tip I heard on Himalayan FB page was to cut the top off a 5l container ( screen wash/ car wash type thing) and fit it inside the bag.
It’s a perfect fit in the Lomo bags and helps the bag keep its shape and stay tight on the straps.

I use the Lomo bags, absolutely brilliant for things like bike cover, helmet chain and all the crap that can fill a top box etc.

I also add some cable ties for extra security ( not from people nicking but for holding it to the bike)
