I've done 900 miles in a day on my 800 doing the Iron Butt with no problem. Just get the comfort seat and a taller screen tho

I have a trip coming up to Norway for a month and I have a dilemma.

I had a 1200 adventure which I loved and I convinced myself to part ex it against a WC.

I test rode the WC the other day and I'm not that keen on it.

I had a G650 and at the same time I ordered the WC I swapped that for a F800GS.
I really like the F800 but I think it might be a bit over pressed for this trip?
Or should I cancel the order for the WC and buy another adventure?

Reading between the lines I think this question is more about justifying buying another bike because its a bit of an addiction...

If your really that worried load your bike up and do a 500 mile day to somewhere in the UK... I don't expect you will because you already know the answer

I did large parts of Scandinavia on an 1100GS which was great - but if I went again I'd take the R100GS P-D because it's not the bike that limits your progress, but the speed limits, so go on the one that's most fun to ride.

Must be an illusion then, the F800GS is both taller and wider than the R1200GS.

Oh, and they'll easily do the mileage. Here's CrazyCaz in Finland where the road ended.

Buy/ride the bike you want. Faster isn't always better, either.
