I want to have a go at this!

Anyone know anything much about it? I was bought up on trials and much prefer the idea of this over rallies....I could use the perfect little 650 domi but want to give the GS a go really......
Ideally not in cornwall where I've quickly just googled!

You just missed the Witley 100 LDT, starts near Basingstoke. Did it year before on the GSA and had a top day. In fact scroll down and see proof of the pudding here...

There's a series of 3 or so in the South I believe.

If you have a 1100 / 1150 GS I have a 21" front wheel going spare - makes a huge difference off road.

I also do trail riding sessions for big bike newbies in the summer if you want to tag along.

Join the MCC ( motorcycling club) .They do 3 main events annually, the lands end trial, the edinburgh and the exeter trial. All long distance events that I've done on a GS,great fun too.

Whats wrong with CORNWALL???????????????

This chap does the london - Land's end most years on the Caponard. Long distance trials don't have hard stages most of them are quite easy as they are more of a test of endurance than anything else.

These were taken at Blue Hills near St.Agnes in Cornwall

I used to really want a 21" front wheel but now I think...It's an 1150. It can do most stuff anyway...would a 21" really make THAT much difference?
The other thing is - money for starters...plus I don't want to over-offroad-orient it...

I'd love to go out on the lanes with you...Be a bit dry and easy in the summer though? ;)

I've also run a few trail riding 'sessions' with pretty good turn outs from ABR etc...

Let me know next time you go for a run?

Cheers

ALSO those pictures look great! The only thing with the big 3 is they're all a pain in the arse to get to. I want one in Bedfordshire!!!

Yes lets go for a ride when its a bit drier. Went out round Hants yesterday with Lodden Vale TRF, nearly took the GSA for a laugh, glad I didnt - it would have been carnage if I had.

You can try the wheel out and judge for yourself. I would be looking for £275 for it tho' (with tyre + disc). Maybe knock a bit off if you want to sort out your own tyre + disc.

Personally I love the 21"er.

If you do want it I'm sure we'll work something out....

Got 4 sets of wheels incl 2 21 fronts, looking to rationalise, keeping on 21 for me

No probs, can sort out a rear too. I was thinking of running an 18" rear but never got round to it.

On the 17" standards Mitas now do a really quite aggressive knobbly that I used in the Beacons and was mighty impressed with for off road use, suspect wear rate on a long road run will be an issue.

Cheers for the PM, will sort out a ride when things have dried out a little.
