I try not to wash too often, your only gonna rub the thing down and do more damage with too much washing.

Big fan of ACF-50 and think it works very well in nooks and crannies, I did a test with some metal in the garden and compared ACF to WD-40 to Bare metal by leaving the metal in the rain for about 4 months and regularly threw salt on them. Bare steel was rusty and crusty in a week, several months later the WD40 section had minor light rust and the ACF section was almost untouched, I never topped up the coatings so it withstood a lot of rain and carried on working.

I am sure it will burn off hot parts quickly and stuff like engine covers whoch get blasted as you ride along probbly need regular application in wet weather and especially when salt is around.

For dry summer use I can't see any bike suffering much from a lack of cleaning.

I would assume connecting a jet-wash to a water butt would be allowable under the hose pipe ban?

Although there is nothing to stop someone filling the water butt from buckets and then connect it to the jet-wash :nenau

I also believe the garage Jet Washers still work, at least my local one was last time I went there, I just took some Muc-Off type stuff down with me along with sme cloths and washed the bike at the garage, I prefer the pay-as-you-go ones as I can blast the worst off then ue my cloths and then put anohter quid in and do a final rinse.
