The on that usually goes. Yes, the multimeter will be used first in case there's a break / short but a straight replacement will be easier.

In my box of ' too useful to throw away but probably will never get used again' spares I've found a 3 position switch with associated wiring loom marked ' heated grips' this almost certainly came off a paralever GS. Is this of any use to you?

Thanks Paul. That may come in handy for someone else. I just need the grip and wiring linking to it. I suspect a break in this rather than the element as this looks OK with the grip off. Cheers.
