If the description is accurate, this one seems to have been looked after well enough and at £4,300 is a lot less expensive than many you see.

I know this is a link to an ebay ad, and should really be elsewhere... it just seemed to make much more sense in the Guzzi section.

But not a bad deal when you consider a T3 is near double the price.

Lots of common parts, including the Tonti frame. Just a shame about those alloy wheels, they should have stuck with the spoked Borranis.

it's a Cali 2 , with a Cali 3 screen , look at the gap around the headlight.

“RESTORED 10 YEARS AGO WITH THE HELP OF MARQUE SPECIALIST MOTORI DI MARINO.” hmmm talk to me ,special rule for him .....if you don't know which Guzzi you want, buy from M di M , you will get a bit of everything . that's a warning .
look at rr mudguard to wheel looks WRONG
if you gave me a Cali 2 , i'd sell it without riding it , and be glad it has gone. some people love them ( they are weird people )

you would need to keep total spend under £5k
talk to dave at twiggers , he might remember it

why do the frame and engine numbers match ?

i did 1 last year , purchase , transport , new tyres, mot , service , brakes , stood for 10 years came in at £4250 in the end. ( tyres and tubes cost more than tyres for the 1200 Sport. )

you could always put in a £1200 or lower cheeky bid

do not even fucking think about this one , my labour rate would be £85/hour if you showed up with that ! ( i owe you for mirrors , that equals me laughing at you for 30 mins .)

There's a millie GT in amongst that add ; it looks a cracking well sorted bike for not alot of money.

Having owned a stunning 1976 T3 Cali and subsequently an 850T I can say the 850T was a far nicer bike to ride due to the normal footrests and control linkages. It always felt weird with the foot boards and I don’t see any advantage in having them. A standard footrest is a natural pivot for your foot to operate controls. A flat plate is not.

:ROFLMAO:, rude health, thanks for asking, lucky i have a few bikes, had the T3 Cali for 15 years, was originally sorted by Nigel at NBS ( Top Guy ) , Love the bike probably the last bike id sell. I actually like the boards but may be because its different ? Great handling bike and easily keep up with modern traffic, which is probably getting slower in recent years.

Years ago I wanted an early Cali', couldn't afford it. So I bought a Cali' 3. I still have it, 12 years later. Each to their own.:)
Now when I look at the earlier generations I think they're ugly. Aesthetically the seat looks wrong, perched on the frame.
Having typed this reply, I am now emigrating so that you lot can't come and get me.:bounce1

Me too. I bought a Cali 3 having missed a T3. Took me a while but I prefer the looks now. Been at the back of the garage for 5 years now (too many bikes). Wheeled it out a week ago and it fired up at the first time of asking. I charge all the batteries every month. Alloy needs the fur wiped off and the disks have surface rust but that’s all. Ticks over like a champ. Must get it back on the road, such a pleasure to ride.

My first Guzzi was a T3 Cali. Was a lovely old beast, very 'used' condition but I liked it like that. Even pulled a sidecar with it for a while as my daughter was small and wanted to keep riding. Not many pictures of it now...... but found one with my little princess aboard :)

I had a Cali II for 20+ years.

It was a mediocre bike (at best) for all those years.

Eventually I bought a sidecar on eBay and had it fitted to the bike, which I used to take the kids to school.

I was glad to see it go. I gather the buyer frightened himself on the sidecar and got rid of it.

Ooh that’s a money pit.
The money pit sold for £2800 plus fees etc (so £3500ish?).
That 'leccy start Vincent that went for almost ten times the price was an absolute steal by comparison...
