Looking for Hotel with Parking between Santander and Porto

Don’t rely on the parking filter in booking.com. We booked a place in Spain last year on that basis and the parking was in the street, 3 streets away.
Often it means nearby, which can be a 5-10 min walk, either in a paid public car park or on the street.
I always check by messaging or calling the property
Parador de Leon has gated parking. Lovely place with a lot of history and fine art. Not the cheapest though.
hotels.com and expedia (same company) are better in this respect as they often detail if there is public parking or private parking and any fee for each.
I also use Streetview to check access and the terrain. I have stayed in a few places where the hotel is in a very steep street which is okay for me but not suitable for a few in my group.
That's exactly what I was finding hence asking the question on here.
Doesn't have to be locked in a garage just a hotel carpark close to reception is usually sufficient. Just don't fancy leaving it in a side street somewhere.

I’m like you, I want the bike to be safe. Last trip was on my HP2E and Mrs Berin on the basic- not easily replaceable and even if they were, who wants to deal with having a bike stolen on holiday.
I do park in the street sometimes, using the JB small towns philosophy but I’d rather avoid it as it’s too easy for someone to just tip the bike over.
I appreciate it could get nicked anyway but at least I’m minimising risk so I can enjoy my hols.

Lad with us had his bike stolen from a hotel car park in France a few years back. Insurance, although paid out eventually were no help at the time. He managed to get himself and his gear including panniers back to Calais only to find out that no foot passengers were allowed. This was just after covid. He eventually had to get his wife to drive down from the North of England and cross the channel to collect him. It wasn't the cost or even having the bike nicked, although bad enough, it was just the hassle and time involved that was the problem.
You get a feeling how safe most places are when you park up but going on peoples recommendations just gives you a little more confidence.
I can recommend the Ibis Braganca, it does have secure parking Its a little walk to the centre of town. Stayed there before on our way to Porto

In Porto we stayed at the Ibis Porto Centro Cao Bento theres a public underground carpark next to it or we just parked the bikes in the foyer of the hotel in front of reception.

The Abba Fonseca hotel in Salamanca has secure parking, and if you're going on the Brittany Ferries sailing, it should get you the 30% ferry discount.
