Looking to replace my worn grips

You can buy shrink wrap that is specially for handlebar grips. It comes 1m lengths. Cut to size, place over existing grips, heat to desired shrink fit.
See Amazon, no doubt other retailers too.
I'm using this on my Tenere. I put the shrink wrap in place before the grips were too worn to protect the grips as they're OEM heated grips.
Been on 12 months all weathers no issues.

Don’t put grip puppies on with soapy water. When it rains your grips can become slippery or spin over the grips beneath. DAMHIK.

Buy a can of cheap women’s hairspray from Aldi etc, spray onto your rubber bar grips until wet with an heavy coat of spray and then slide on the puppies. Spray will evaporate and become tacky, sticking the puppies in place. Done this on a few bikes, I try to fit puppies from new to save the OE grips from wear.

Fitted them yesterday.

I cut them with an angle grinder squashed under a straight edge. Came out very neat. I know it sounds weird, but it worked well and I use the grinder all the time so I'm pretty surgical with it.

Used hairspray and seemed to be stuck nicely this morning.

Did 65 miles on a little errand to Selby and back.

Sheesh, they feel really big. I wouldn't say I have small hands L/XL/10 in most gloves but I almost struggle to touch my thumb and fingertips around the grips.

I'd say they definitely take some vibes away.

Have a bit of hand ache now because on the size (fnar.)

Persevere?

Persevere

yes, you will get used to them and then appreciate the extra comfort

I find most bike grips are too short a diameter so prefer the fatter grip provided by the GPs. Just more comfortable for the right hand. I bought a set to put on the V85 but the heaters are so feeble compared to my BMW, so not bothered yet.

Length of cricket bat grip. Slides over existing grips. One length does both grips. It’s thin enough not to make much difference to grip size and very grippy. Cheap and easy to do. Roll the grip up first and then unroll over existing grips.. (“slides over existing grips” is maybe a bit optimistic as it is a very tight fit, but looks factory fitted if done neatly.)
As fitted to my 1200 and 1250.

This tip is on the money. While I'm currently still trying to get to grips(!) with the grip puppies on the GS. I used some cricket bat grip on my Norton.

I love it! It's mega grippy, requires no glue etc, and as said, looks almost factory when carefully done.
