done the very similar down to austria previously but never done southern italy (only the dolomites)

or the bike to greece (always wanted to ride to athens to see the evzones)

plan to do it in lumps - not the mega trip you did

We knew when we started the trip (indeed when we were planning a few months before we left) that it would be a huge endurance run to get home from Igoumenitsa via the Black Sea / Buzludzha / Transylvania.

We did cut a bit out, as we had originally planned to follow the Black Sea coast North to see the Danube Delta (it's supposed to be nice) but we cut that out and went straight from Varna (Bulgaria Black Sea) to Transylvania
But then we added a bit more! And went via Czech Republic!

I'm still buzzing tho, and so keen to get the next "big one" planned. Circumstances (and marriages!) say it will probably be 2025 until we get another 3 or 4 week window of opportunity. One plan we're hatching is to fly the WAG's to Marrakech (rent a villa) and the guys travel on Bikes via Italy/Sicily/Tunisia, hook up with the WAGs for a couple of weeks and then home via Gibraltar...

What a great trip ! (y) Looks like you had a fantastic time. A proper decent mileage outing with what looks like even more interesting places that you were able to visit .. and some nice piccies too. Very much enjoyed reading that, as you can tell so thank you for taking the time to post it all up.

Really enjoyed that - video was great.

I too am a big fan of the Czech Republic and have some good friends there.
