Here and there, now and then.
The V85TT has now clocked up over 2500 miles, it is loosening up nicely, the gearchange has got less clunky and it just seems to run that bit smoother, I changed the bevel drive and gearbox oils at approx 2000 miles, I don't know why Guzzi say first change at 18000 miles....seems way too long considering other shaft drive bike I've had have changes at the initial service.
I took it for a run to Glasson Dock for lunch via the A6 and Garstang, through Scorton village. Can anyone confirm the little shop on the corner facing the church has stopped doing the homemade ice cream? as I passed I saw the shop was open but no sign displayed for the ice cream. I've been getting ice cream from that shop since I was kid when my parents used to take us for picnics at Dunsop Bridge.
I stopped off at Quernmore by the Jubilee Tower to take in the views across Morecambe bay and the Lancashire Plain, I never tire of that panorama. Then on to the cafe by the lock gates at Glasson for a chicken burger and diet coke (every little helps:D)

Fabulous. I am with you re the oils, those are small quantities, so why not be safe? It also gives you a chance to look at the outgoing oil quality to make sure there's nothing in it that shouldn't be there.

Shop in Scorton used to do Wallings ice cream, then changed to Cool Cow. But that place went defunct in Covid. Then they went onto some dairy up the Ribble valley (Mrs Dowsons I think) which was foul. Last time I was in the shop, about 6 months ago, it wasn’t ice cream season but I’d be surprised if Wallings wasn’t back in there, it being local. Wallings is vastly superior to all ice cream except Toffee Bob’s in Garstang which is extremely sadly no longer available anywhere now as the bugger retired and didn’t pass the recipe on.

Ps I don’t actually like ice cream much. Wifey does though.

I called in at that shop last summer with my wife and grandson, I think it may have been Wallings. There's usually a sign outside advertising the stuff, I didn't stop because of the sign being absent. I'll make a point of calling in next time and check it out.
