Recently while in Belgium I started the bike one morning only to find there was no speedo or LED display etc. A quick trip into France and Lille BMW discovered that every wire was stripped out of the connector into the back of the dash display. After a couple of hours the problem was fixed and I was on my way, but the EWS no longer works. I don't have the Bmw suspension but the ohlins EWS unit. The display still scrolls through the menu but nothing actually changes. I just thought I would ask on here before I go, as the wealth of knowledge from the collective on here can be invaluable when dealing with BMW dealers.

It may be that there is a fault code been registered that is preventing the ESA from working; clearing that code with a GS911 or similar may fix it.
I'm not an expert in this but i did once have an issue with mine which i'll not go into but, clearing the code fixed it.

There was a big thread within the past year where a failed ESA motor was sorted out. You'll have to search for it but there may be some useful information regards your problem.
