Hi All
Just come back from a trip to France.
The gremlins were back with there mates!! (See Looming Hell.) Reset the TPS setting twice and changed the fuel relay positions a few times (See Steptoe's link) just to get the bike ridable.
The problems I now have are;-
When the engine is cold or been stood for half hour, no problem all is ok.
When the engine is warm and on tick over, after 15 secs the tick over will start to drop until the engine stalls.
And when riding and at constant rpm (any where in the rev range) after 2 - 3 seconds the engine will start to loose power, cough, splutter and slowly die till it stalls. only way to over come this was to slowly but constantly move the throttle by a few millimetres either way.

So my learnered friends, would the Lamber sensor have any effect or give these problems? And no I dont want to buy 1200!
Any ideas?

Unplug the lamda. It'll work with it missing - if it stops the problem then worth a shot.

Wouldn’t suspect the Lamda – I don’t run one on my 1150 and it runs fine. Sounds more like a hall sensor or maybe ECU. I had intermittent rough running issues on my first 1150 and eventually tracked it back to perished rubber caps on the throttle bodies – the things you remove to balance the throttle bodies. Doubt that this is the cause in your case but seeing as it takes about 2 seconds to check, worth a look:)

Cheers Sock Puppet & Dr. Alf :thumb

I will check both later in the week when I get two min to myself. ::rolleyes:

Hi Everyone

Just replaced the Lamba sensor (which I did think was the problem first off all) , all the gremlins have now gone. :thumb2
So moral off this story. . . . . listen to your gut feelings. :rob
