Matt i dont think anyone is having a pop at you really,but this is a really odd situation as i said that in the years i have been on here never heard of before,hence the what else has happened comments.Life really is to short to allow this to eat you up move on.

How dare they say I'm not good enough to own a BMW?
So many people out there complaining about this n that and I'm stuck here with a brand new bike and they don't want me to own a BMW but they will repair it for me and not give me a new one when this was new 8 weeks ago to which i paid cash for and not on PCP or finance

This is MY BRAND NEW £17000 bike they want to totally strip and rebuild with some new parts to hopefully make it right
I have small young children and family to consider when I'm out on my so called new bike without having to worry about my new bike as well as bad drivers etc egg to boot
Think of this for what you will but I have never been told that I'm not worthy to buy or own a certain bike

BMW , overpriced bags o shite, love the handling, but dear o dear , look on any BMW forum, clutches, driveline issues, Abs , fuelling, Rust, buy a honda, have had many, and will be my next bike after I fix my diff on the r1200.

It's such a shame because the BMW bikes are great to ride and handle
I love the look of the GSA and can't see anything else i would rather own
This is not my fault they sold me a duff bike yet I'm the one to be made out to be a bad person for spending a shit load of money on something i thought to be good

You spend £1000's on a bike that needs it's engine / gearbox and all the rear end out to hopefully fix a problem they don't even know what is wrong with and then tell me it's ok ?

Engine out is a very easy job for them. What is wrong with the bike? All I'm getting is that you thought it was noisy.

Steve Bell from BMW Motorad UK ride it and he said he thinks the cams have had it and to replace the top end, strip the engine and thoroughly check it
No one knows exactly what the problems are and BMW themselves don't
Would you want to buy a bike that's been completely stripped and rebuilt ?
This will all go down on the computer for all BMW dealers to see what warranty work had has been done and no one will want it
The trouble is BMW won't admit they have a serious problem with the 2017 models and won't do a recall as it goes down like a lead balloon

Second time this has been said and it's as simple as I've said
Am i supposed to stick with a bike that's for problems from day 1 ?
First bike i bought had faults which was not my fault either so why should i be held accountable ?
When i visited Aston Martin back in the 80's
The gent who showed me round told me they selected vehicles at random that came back from road test, and
completely stripped & rebuilt the engine and gearbox to see how well they performed and if there was any undue wear
etc (these were customer cars, not specials etc). I remember thinking, i'd like one of the ones that had been stripped
and rebuilt, that way you'd have peace of mind that it was all OK
I don't recall seeing a resident clairvoyant last time i visited a garage , so in reality unless they strip the engine how are
they supposed to know what is wrong.
If you feel that unhappy, take the refund.
