Started well with a good ride to Dover, no ees was a bonus first couple of hours in France Sunny and dry then it pissed it down for the next 3 hrs, found this place to stay in the Ardennes as we got sick of the rain Wife says it's quaint hosts seem very friendly https://ferme1883.nl/.

We are in eastern France and while it's been cool and showery the last few days the forecast for the coming week/weekend is 29C and dry so you might have timed it right if you head southeast from where you are now
We are of towards Poland next so hope it dry there

Keep looking at those Honda x-ATV but dare not take one for a test ride, that's what happened to me with the goldwing never thought I'd want to own one but once I'd tried it ending up having to buy it, as you know you can't beat it for Touring especially two up and it's also a lot of fun in the twisties which there are few of around the Eiffel region.
Your weather looks a bit the same as where we are except it has warmed up to 20° now and we have hardly any rain today. That ADV does look good

X-ADV is ace . Had a cracking meal at one of the Balcony restaurants overlooking the river got even more lively when my good lady had 1 to many vinos, when her steak knife went over the balcony (by mistake) followed by half a glass of red wine poor bloke on door below was getting very jumpy.
