Lost in Europe

Got to Penin yesterday found a Chateau to stop at with secure bike parking before Calais Ferry. Only problem woman running it does not understand one word of English and my French isn't any better.

Back home of yesterday, had a great time enjoyed by both of us.
Was only going to spend one night at the Chateau but met an another English couple who were celebrating a birthday so it would of been rude not to stop and have a good drink with them.

Did not get to Albania this time through spending more time in Poland than we thought we would, a lot more to go back and see there it is a great country.
The Bike was faultless except having to put 4Lb of air in the back tyre and doing a resink on the DCT as 2nd and 3rd gear just began to be noticed more on the down change but still smooth.
We did 4588 mls with an average of exactly 50 mls to the Gallon.
And I would just like to thank everyone one for their comments and reactions and taking an interest as it was my first time posting about a trip.

Thanks for posting, great to read and follow from afar.
I am using all the travel posts to help persuade my wife she wont die if we go on a trip, and it can be done two-up.
Admittedly I can't offer 'Wing levels of comfort and wont be doing 4.5k miles, but I have to plant the seed and go from there.

Keep working on her she won't regret it.

Trebinje Bosnian seems to be a very nice Town especially the Old Town Ared and very friendly place. Had a Chicken dish yesterday never been served chips and rice on the same plate before but it was quite good.View attachment 508955View attachment 508956View attachment 508957
Travelled down to Trebinje from southern Hungary on our Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 last year. Popped in and out of Montenegro too. I'd rather tackle those roads on our Himmy than your bike but massive respect to you. Enjoying the Durmitor pics. That's one of this year's destinations. Thank you for the write up.

Cheers,

Dicky.

Thanks did ride down a dead end road (pass) to this place https://www.portotara.me/ and spent 3 days there wondering weather I would get out OK as it was so steep and very tight hairpins to get out plus falling rocks on road.
