Hi all,
Just venting a bit of steam:tears:mad:, went for a short spin with Glenboy to look at the D&D Moran cup trial near Lacken and try him out on a turfcutters lane that I have been using for over 35 years, to find a new sign prohibiting "recreational vehicle use". I suppose I knew it was coming, but it is local, and familiar to me , and I am sad to loose it. But for a crowd of walkers, I was tempted to go anyhow. Fortunatly we didn't, because a ranger:ronno went up the road a shortly after.(walkers with mobile phones, I wonder?) aah well, I still know a few other lanes:rob.

and a very pleasant and interesting afternoon it was too. What those young fellas (and not so young fellas) can get up to on their trials bikes is really amazing :clap

This is the offending sign - and given that even pedal mountain bikes are banned I don't think we'd get very far splitting the hair re types of motorbike :(

Splitting hairs

Bin thinking about this,
maybe some informed person could comment on this, if you had a recipt for purchase of turf from someone with turvery rights on these lanes, would you not be entiteled to inspect it? and bring helpers?

Spot on Dermott. As the sign says it's the recreational use of the vehicles that's prohibited not a blanket ban on the vehicles themselves. Now I wonder, how would my GS look with a set of creels as panniers? :augie

Hi glenboy,
did not think of creels for gs's who's good at photoshop, their is a famous postcard of a donkey with creels and kids, but i think they might make legwork difficult.
any leagle eagles out there comment on the wardens attitude to rights to turf?
